The precursor to my personal decision to create my own home based business opportunity was what I would call extreme dissatisfaction with my office job. It wasn’t the job I hated, but rather, the office and everything that went with it. But like many people, I kept going and going and going… day after day, to that awful bacteria-infested office, without realizing I could have my own home based business opportunity.

The circus restrains huge elephants that weight thousands of pounds and have huge amounts of power, with a simple rope. The powerful elephants could easily pull down the tent or break the rope and run free, but they’ve been trained for so many years to believe that they have no personal power. Hence, the poor elephants allow themselves to stay tied up, bound by that skimpy little rope, day after day, year after year, so people can give money to the circus master to see the poor animal humiliate himself.

That was me. A trapped elephant. I just kept going to that office over and over, but just going there made me mad. Everything related to the office job made me mad. Not working at home was driving me crazy!

I was in danger of becoming a crazed elephant.

Everyday it started with the alarm clock, which went off way earlier than I wanted it to. If you don’t have a home based business opportunity doing a work at home job or contract, chances are that you congregate with many other people at the same place, around the same time, to do roughly the same thing. Since your boss congregates there too, he or she can hardly help but notice if you’re not there, or if you’re, God forbid, late. (Forget that your kid has a fever or your washing machine started leaking all over your house before you left. That’s far less important than keep that old corporate machine working, on time.)

Then it was the commute. I didn’t have a home based business opportunity at that time so I was able to join the millions of other Americans who all take to the roads at the same time each day to try to beat each other out of one eighth of a second. Me first. No me first. No, me! Watch, I can almost run you off the road while I put on my make-up! Yeah, but I just spilled hot coffee on my, well, you know, and so I’m just going to take a break from driving for awhile. You’ve been warned, buddy!

After inhaling all the toxic fumes that one gets to breathe when one does not work at home and they choose instead to congregate where everyone else congregates at the same time, I would trade in that bad air for the bad air in the office. Every virus on the planet circulated that place, every day. Seemed like half the workforce was always coughing or sneezing or sniffling, and then passing it around... while people that owned their own home businesses stayed home and breathed clean air.

Since I decided to create my own home based business opportunity I haven’t been sick once.

And since I chose to work in that office instead of being able to work at home, I wasted about 30% of my time from ridiculous meetings, intrusions from my boss, unwanted interruptions and political garbage. “Hmmm,”, I used to wonder, “what would I do with all that extra time if I didn’t have to put up with these stupid interruptions?” “I’d get my work done and go home early!”.

But of course, if you don’t work in your own home based business opportunity, your boss will be there at 5:00 to notice that you’re not there – and even though you got all your work done that’s not okay.

So you stay. A trapped elephant. Thank Goodness for those annoying interruptions to fill your day and help you waste your life away.

Oh, what did I just say?

I started hearing about people in my field (a graphic artist) that got to work at home. I started dreaming about what it would be like to work in my own home based business opportunity. Ah, it was wonderful. The dream, I mean.

There I was the working next to crackling fireplace on blustery days work at home dream. Then there was the dream of earning a whole week's pay in my own home based business opportunity before even getting dressed in the morning. Then there was the dream of skipping out on my home based business opportunity to hang out in the park whenever I felt like it. And the dream of having the house all to myself for eight whole hours every day because I have my own home based business opportunity.

The dream of becoming a millionaire because with my work at home lifestyle my mind would be free to work it all out. And the dream of never being interrupted again because I work at home, and the feeling that I’d be so free I could take up new hobbies, take it easy every afternoon and enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of a big, fat, happy cat.

Now that I do work in my own home based business opportunity I am deliriously happy to be able to say that most of my work at home dreams have come true. I do work at home. I LOVE my clients who have enabled me to enjoy my own home based business opportunity. I do play hooky from my work and go to the park sometimes in the middle of the day. I am there for my kid when he needs me and that’s the most important thing to me in the whole world. I don’t miss my boss, or the viruses, and I still love never being interrupted when I’m working. I’m so happy being able to work at home, I don’t care if I’m ever a millionaire or not.

Owning and building your own home based business opportunity. This is where it’s at!
